I don't like to see any club in such financial trouble that they may not exist anymore tbh

I especially include that lot. I want them fecked and right on the brink thou. Sell all their players, stadium, down to the old 4th division etc etc ... but still alive and kicking (just) so that I can still take the piss

I know of kids at their school of excellence. If the club goes tits up then maybe so does their chance of getting into the pro game. For that reason I hope they survive.

Can't believe some can say they are not arsed...few years ago and less a Dickov late equaliser and that could be us
No set of fans deserves the club they have supported all their life to blink out of existance

i like to think of city fans as football fans, unlike some we dont follow a club for cup's or for bragging right's because lets face it wede all be effing morons to do so. so i'd like to think that none of us would want to see a club dissapear completely.

I'm amazed this country can still sustain 90 pro clubs. Having said that, it shouldnt be a problem considering the money generated at the top. Its the same shit all over, rich getting richer etc. Can you blame a club like stockport if they find a talent like SWP and ask for 10million? and can you blame a prem club for buying a comparative talent with 10 caps at a quarter of the price? we may end up back at the pre sixties set-up with regional divisions if this carries on.

Agree, sad day if any club goes under - bar one of course.

I know! I used to go watch Stockport and York when City were away. I'll always have a soft spot for both of them. I'd be gutted to see Stockport go out under. Its a great club.

fully agree with this. No matter if you love or loathe club, it's always sad to see traditional clubs go under.

You can guarantee that the press will have a go at us if they do go under, "all that money and a local club goes under, obscene!", completely ignoring how many times we've helped them out just like they did at the start of the season.
My gut reaction is that I don't want to see any club go under, especially a local one but I do think that at some point if a club actually did go to the wall rather than the last minute bail outs that we're used to that it my finally make the other clubs sit up and take note (just let it be someone from down south instead though please!)

why don't they just fold and start up as Stockport 2009 Ltd or something, take the points penalty and start all over again. Plenty have done this, some prior to the points deductions too, Middlesbrough I think, for one.

I think we should help them like we did last time & were rewarded by a tirade of nasty, snide, pisstaking, abuse when we found ourselves in similar shit.
On second thoughts, fuck 'em.
