If you want a rumour I can tell you that Marca says that Benzema has allegedly rejected an offer from City because he wants to succeed in Madrid and gain a berth in the first 11.

There may be a little mileage in this as Madrid are pretty desperate to offload a few for cash (even if they have just bought him!).

That may be true or might not be :)

Real madrid will probably have to sell to buy again and no reasons not for city to put a cheeky bid in for Benzema and see what they say.

Id be in favour of Mancini buying very few players and waiting until Summer.

just reading that sergio aguero link from the times its unbelievable, they're saying that chelsea know they can't compete with city for transfers and wages! who would have thought that two years ago? sometimes it still just hits me.

That's going to be kind of hard, he is on loan to Sporting, and they supposedly want to send him back and City refused say it was a one-year agreement. So I don't think they are buying him, and since we don't need the money...

We have an excellent squad- if we need one or two signings to plug the gap in defence, that's fair enough. But the fantasy football stuff is mental- we're perfectly well equipped going forward. Let's concentrate on lowering our goals conceded tally before anything else.

We need more bodies in midfield. All we have is Ireland, the limited De Jong and an injured GazBaz.

Stop ranting you silly little boy, its poster like you who cant have a decent debate. Lewis started what I deemed an interesting thread, and I decided to add some input. The players I mentioned might have been spouted of in the press, but who has'nt.

I also mentioned those were the players I'd like to see at City, but who mentioned I'd like them yesterday.

As for Villa and Pato, not having any expierence, did Torres Drogba Anelka and Tranaldo have expierence, NO

F**k me it's like reading threads on 'that other place'.

I agree with the idea of bringing 1 or 2 in as a short term fix for the defence and then save any major buying until the summer (if it is needed)
