WTF Stan Collymore talks sense!!

The Manchester United mafia have come out in support of their old pal Mark Hughes by complaining about his sacking by Manchester City.
We have heard Sir Alex Ferguson, Roy Keane, Steve Bruce and Co all having their say about Hughes’ dismissal.
But I firmly advocate managers only talk about their own players and clubs.
It is none of Sir Alex’s business to come out in a Manchester United press conference and say how badly Mark Hughes has been treated by City.
It is as much a slap in the face for the integrity of the game as Wolves putting out a weakened team at Old Trafford.
If and when Fergie ever becomes Man City manager - which I doubt he ever will - then that is the time he can talk about Man City.
He likes to act like he is the wise old sage in the game.
But the reason he got to that position is because of his work at United and that is what he should stick to.
It is none of his business at all to get involved with talking about Hughes or City’s chief executive Garry Cook.
The only person who should really be discussing City’s behaviour is Richard Bevan, the chief executive of the League Managers Association.
Couldn't belive when i read this, the man actually gets it right for once.

Not surprising, once the initial pseudo shock of Hughes' sack has passed then some form of reality sets in. Pundits, journos etc don't want to be out of the (City) loop otherwise they might miss the next story.
Expect a couple more "balancing" acts over the next week or so.
They all know why he got the sack, and after the usual knee-jerk bollox things calm down.
A nice unspectacular win against Wolves and the press vultures will be after their next target - Benitez, Phil Brown... whoever.

I partly agree with your post, hoping even your last sentence will be right at soonest.
Wouldn't show myself negative, but in my sidelooking opinion the press had been mounted by huge and wide lobbies of envy and should need a very radical warning in order to feared and get calmed.
hope i'm wrong and u're right.

Agree entirely Lev...The gutter press need to sell their sensationalism. Once they think they've done City to death, they will look for the next story. It may be City...or some other poor victim.
The one thing you can be sure of is that they won't negatively analyse the rag's situation...They won't be brave enough to tell any home truths about the hand that feeds them.

Give it time. Once the shit hits the fan, things could change very quickly.

The man is still an idiot.
Why Roberto Mancini has made his first mistake as Manchester City manager by picking Robinho
By Stan Collymore
Published 22:33 27/12/09
Roberto Mancini has only taken charge of Manchester City for one game but he may have put a nail in his coffin by pandering to Robinho.
Mancini’s glowing appraisal of Robinho initially alerted my suspicions that perhaps City’s new boss had been given orders how to treat the club’s record signing.
But from what I have seen of Robinho since his £32.5million arrival from Real Madrid last September, the Brazilian has done little to justify his enormous fee. And to hear Mancini making statements about Robinho having a big future at the club set alarm bells ringing for me.
So I wasn’t surprised to see him back in the team for their win over Stoke.
But for the Brazilian to be in the starting line-up is nothing short of a joke.
So I am thinking Mancini, like Mark Hughes before him, has been told to play him.
