It's the subs that do it for me, not frightened to make a change early, as in Garrido today. Sees a problem and deals with it.

Exactly what I loved about him today aswell as the tactics swap in the first half.

He gets the best out of his players and has a plan B, two things I have been crying out for for the last 18 months.
A proper manager and a winner.

We didn't play well in the first half and still got our noses in front, fucking teflon second half and really finished with some style, worth the wait.
I think Mancho knows how to win matches and therein lies the difference. But right now it's still the honeymoon period and we will have to wait to see what he is really made of, but great start.

He's winning me over very quickly.
The defence looks so much more solid - even with the injuries.

we look disciplined and not after the next goal at all costs. we also look really comfortable at set plays.
really encouraging! Maybe socrates knows a thing or two about this game!!

intelligent use of subs and players, and adaptability with tactics ... it's a breath of fresh air really.
I think he's handling robinho very well too ... it's obvious that robinho is short on confidence and fitness, bringing him on the last 10 minutes of this game and saying "just go out there and be you, there's no pressure" will end up doing robi a world of good, and hopefully see him return to form.
Bellamy could have had 2 goals and what about garrido's fk? class. Is this a new beginning for garrido? my god, I thought I'd never see the day.
I know we're only 2 games in but I feel like mancini really can get the best out of players, not just the hard working ones, but the flair ones as well. Excellent game and I'm very excited for the window/new year

Don't want to sound like knob but I told you so!
In reality early days but he has already identified our weaknesses on the pitch and we seem to have eradicated silly tactical errors that lead to goals conceded before.
That was by the way very much the kind of performance that won him titles in Inter. I was always impressed the way they kept their nerve and just waited for those openings. And when they come they were lethal. It seems that's us now.

not going to get excited to quickly because these are games that we certainly should be winning. but that was a fantastic away performance. completly solid at the back. kompany was superb. i hope lescott watched that performance closely. the players seem to be responding to mancini very quickly.
i am convinced we would have drawn that if hughes had been oin the touchline.
well done lads!

Very solid display, no panic even when we were under pressure and still 0-0, we kept our cool and waited for the moment to hit, we did even if we could have even earlier when Bellamy missed, then calmly conducted the game and put it to bed when the chance came.
As for this being the kind of display which won Inter titles under Mancini, it is, although they often won 1-0 too. But even in those games the basic plan was the same, keep your cool, wait for the opposition to leave a gap and exploit it, or force a goal on set pieces situation as they were full of great ball headers so they were mighty dangerous on free kicks and corners.

Knob. ;0)
And the worst thing is Socrates could well be right. ;0)
Great start from Mancini. And well done the players who could easily have been unsettled by such changes but have obviously knuckled down and given the best reaction possible.

I like the way he gets involved , right at the end he was telling everyone to get back, and the way he makes changes if things are not going right.

One negative point, I really don't think he knows where he can slot Ireland in at the moment, reminds me of Gerrard for England a little bit.
