Training Friday 1/1

First training session I have seen under floodlights! The frost had all gone and it was a late start with plans to eat afterwards and then travel up to Middlesboro. Nedum and RSC were first out but only doing gentle jogging and a few 70% sprints.

The rest came out a few minutes later and still missing was SWP ( Stevie and the other injuries obviously) but also Robinho so quite a depleted squad really. A little light jogging followed by some passing play where there were two 5 a side goals at either end of a half pitch. Then they did the movements around the pitch as a whole squad being led by Mancini. After some of that a group moved off the main pitch to do some training fitness routines which looked fairly standard but 11 were left with Mancini to work ,as on other days, on moving as a team depending where the ball was played.

How about this for a team , Taylor , Vidal,Boyata,Richards,Garrido Weiss,Tutte,Vinnie,Silvinho Benjani,Petrov. Not likley maybe but the first 11 he worked with. That then changed and Vinnie moved back and there were various other changes.

Finally before we left they played with full nets on half a pitch. Fairly competitive and as ever the voice heard most was Bellers and the guy sticking it in the net consistently was Tevez. He is certainly enjoying himself. I couldnt last any longer with my twisted arthritic feet giving me jip perched on the fenceing when I could so I left Lewis for a while longer. He might have a few extra tit bits for you.

Presumed the floodlights were for sale sharks as could see them from me garden, pretty hardcore doing late training but makes sense to travel up tonight and spend as much time as possible together to get his ideas across.

Reckon we could well see a weak team tomoz but can't see there being that many changes, well in DH.

Here's hoping Robinho's absence isn't linked with the transfer window opening! Thanks Douglas, legend!

Yes as Lewis said Robinho was apparently in much earlier ( as was SWP) but as yet we don't get to know what the latest is re injuries.

Certainly hope so! I can really see him thriving under Mancini, people just need to give the little fella time.

Just watched the interview with Ivan Carminati the new fitness coach and at around 3.30 of the video Lewis can be seen perched on the fencing in the background! Lewis the video star.
