hmm can't choose nobody really stood out today for me over another player except Boyata as it was his debut. Not enough for MOTM obviously but he's gonna be great.

kompany looked very solid defensively, in midfield and in D.

Boyata did very well for his debut in a tricky match, in my opinion ... In the future I think he could add a little bit of urgency but will turn out great.

I agree with kompo motm, but petrov did alot of running and without his passing we wouldn't have broken through such an ugly boro side

Seeing that it was his first game and the pressure that brings, I'm going for young Dedryck. Has he got a nickname yet, Del Boy or summat?

He was horrible in midfield but made up for that in the second half. It's between him and Boyata probably which says a lot about our attacking threat today. No creativity in midfield and no pattern whatsoever in attack.

Haha thats probably due to the fact that our first half midfield was made up of defensive minded players... De Jong - Kompany - Sylvinho...

I'd go for Boyata as he played with 2 different partners in a scratch back 4 in the snow & made fewer mistakes than Zabba & Garrido who both managed to get left for dead more than once & proved once again that thye're not good enough. I've seen Marcus Bent give Dunne bigger problems than he gave Boyata. Well done to the kid.

Indeed he was very impressive considering it was his debut.

Petrov for me. Everything we did good going forward was due to his creativity. Of course, a peach of an assist too.

Zabaleta for me. Nice touches, defended very well and how excvellent was his distribution of the ball! But Boyatta and Kompany too were outstanding!

I really did like the way that zabs cut it inside and ran with the ball a bit when they pressed outside, showed great composure. If memory serves me right richards did this a few times as well...
