Player of the Season So Far?

Only 3 candidates in the running for me:
Given: Outstanding performances in most matches, ever consistent and totally reliable.
Bellamy: Not a popular signing it has to be said but what a player he's been for us, passion, skill & intelligent play.
Tevez: Slow start and looked to be a dissappointing signing but he's grown as the season has gone on, quality player.
If there was a vote now i would be totally torn between the three of them but i guess, for consistency, i'd opt for Given as he has saved us a fair few points this season already.

Between Given and Bellamy for me. As you said Tevez made a very slow start whilst the other two have been superb from the off.

Has to be Bellamy for me. It's very noticable when he isn't on the pitch and you know when he comes on that he can, and probably will, change the game.

Given for me, Bellers has had a few off days and not started as many games where as Super Shay has been awesome from the get go.
Bellers and Tevez are 2 and 3 tho.

I'd agree with this as well and add in de Jong at No. 4.

I think most people are in agreement with the player of the season but we only mid way so far and Tevez has only come through in the last month or so I reckon its gonna be a close call at the end of the year a lot closer than now for player of the season :).

Interesting thing about Bellers that everyone seems to have forgotten is that before the Sunderland game he had been really quiet for over a month by his standards, a few games where he was completely anonymous and more where he just didn't seem to want to run down the wings (we had probably been playing him too often). Whilst Tevez was a bit of a slow burn initially I think he has just about edged it so far from Bellers but Given is the most consistent.
1. Given
2. Tevez
3j. De Jong
3j. Bellamy

At one stage of the season the answer would have been Adebayor, by a mile. 6 goals in 13 games and he's fallen off the radar. Even since he returned from suspension he scored vital goals against Liverpool and Chelsea. When he was gone he was the player we missed the most (unless you want to argue we missed an in-form Robinho more). He had a couple of poorer games but he really offers something special in overall play when he's on song.
Barry and de Jong have been key players who probably deserve more than exclusion from consideration.
It's great to have so many contenders. In previous years anyone playing that well would have romped away. Tevez just edges it for me.
