Here's a good solution: get him onto the forum. Sounds as though he would liven the place up....

He had a lively debate with Gary Owen about SWP once at a Former Players Dinner I walked away feeling rather embarrassed. This was just before we sold him, my dad was of the opinion SWP was crap and over rated, so to bring him on here would be suicide.

Sounds ideal.
On the SWP point: he's not the first to say this on the forum. Much as I like SWP he is not above criticism. e.g. he is a terrible crosser of the ball, and his final ball in general can be poor

And at that time he was overrated. Chelsea did pay an highly inlated price for him.

My dad is 82 and was glad to see the back of Hughes actually, much more then me. He knew something wasn't quite right with all those draws and I think we're all starting to have our eyes opened a bit now.

Your old fella needs to chill out, he must've seen loads of managers come and go!!

He will be back - having the CITY commitment is not something you can just let go - but of course along the way you get mad as hell at some of the things we do - typical CITY...

But if he is a true blue he will be back - probably 1930 tomorrow

Being CITY is not something that you can be cured off - I should know - after 40+ years of mainly depression I have tried it all - electric shocks - drugs - hypno-therapy etc

I have to admit I was deeply pissed off at the City management in regards to the manner of the sacking of Mark Hughes, it wasnt that I didnt see problems with his style of management and I wasnt convinced that he was the 'Man' but what he did do was stabilse a rudderless ship and install a set of protocols and standards that will stand the club in good order for the future. We should appreciate what he has done; but at the end of the day the 'king is dead long live the king'.
Hoping our new rollercoaster gives us the thrill of our lives.

I can vouch that he isn't.

Perhaps this comes under the "Typical City" banner I keep hearing and seeing. I dont subscribe to this banner but many times over my years as a fan (48yrs) I can understand. Like all followers of any faith we all doubt what happens but somehow we pull through. I am agnostic so thankfully I chose what I believe in. As long as you are still son and father that is the main thing mate.

I really shouldn't ask this but - how can you vouch that he isn't?
