Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I just can't see it if it carrys on like this. I can't see City wanting fans to drive in these conditons and take risks. I can't see it clearing up by tomo. If it stays like this I won't be able to go as I can't even get into work. Nightmare!!!

We had this sort of weather just before Christmas in Holland. It fella 10-15 inches of snow within 24 hours. All trains and busses were cancelled, and even the taxis refused to drive.
That weekend all league games were cancelled, even though the pitches were alright. Te Dutch FA thought it irresponsible to get people oout on the roads.

How bad is it really in Manchester?
I tore a calf muscle over Christmas and am on crutches.
Due to fly in the Manchester Airport at approx 6pm tomorrow evening but this thread is worrying me.
I see you are due "light snow" today but is snow still lying in the City?
City are coming to get you!

I really think it will be called off now sadly. I don't think there's going to be any let up in the snow.
The airport is closed until at least midday today.

I would be gutted if it was cancelled, but I wouldnt be suprised,
and there is no way i would risk driving up the M56,
I have never got the train to a match before,
How far is the nearest station from the ground
Just incase,
Fingers crossed

I can't even get out of my carpark for work this morning, let alone driving to the game tomorrow if this doesn't improve :-/

I was thinking much the same. I'm in Withington and we must have had at least 5-6 inches overnight and more to come. All schools are closed, no buses, airport closed and hardly any trains. I'm about to start the walk to work!!
think it will be the area round the ground which is the problem.

Mate it's really heavy and is snowing again now. People being advised to stay home. Motorways are a nightmare and dangerous. Iv told all my staff to stay home and I would never do that.

There is a train station on Allan Turing way but can't think what it's called, it's only a 5-10 min walk. It's a couple of stops outside Piccadilly.

I'm not a rag, I have a seasoncard in the Colin Bell Stand, but am booked on a flight from Heathrow tomorrow morning. I've cancelled a night shift to be there Am busy sorting out insurance in case the game is called off.
Would be really f****d off if it's cancelled. Was unable to get to the Hamburg game due to working, so was looking forward to this one. Don't know if I'd be able to make it to a rearranged date.

This side of Manchester is a nightmare!
I have just driven around the M60 through Stockport up to Ashton and it is unbelievable, I think they are going to close it.
If we get more snow today and it freezes tonight as forecast there is NO CHANCE this game will go ahead.
My advice, if anyone wants it is not to travel.

In my 25 years i have honestly never seen it snow like this but don't think a decision will be made till tomorrow as blackburn-villa is still scheduled to go ahead.
But like as been said if it carries on till lunch and then frrezes tonight but no more snow it'll probably go ahead but fans travelling from further afield won't be able to make it.
