Ok so im looking at things as positives.
Feel for all the people with travel arranged etc. BUT
Does this mean, swp, nedum, lescott, santa, bridge? and ireland? could be fit?
And when does the african nations start finish, could we have toure and adebayor back for the 2nd leg?

ACN depends on how far the teams get. I would say Kolo will be back first. Sweep Ned & Stevie at best I would say.

Ok done a little bit of research
The games involving toure and Ade are:
01-11-2010 Cote d'Ivoire v Burkina Faso
01-11-2010 Ghana v Togo
01-15-2010 Burkina Faso v Togo
01-15-2010 Cote d'Ivoire v Ghana
01-19-2010 Cote d'Ivoire v Togo
So they defo miss the first leg still. As they play eachother on the 19th (i wonder if they will be playing eachother wondering whats going on at coms haha)
The quarters are the 24th and 25th of January, the semi's are 28th, third place game is 30th and the final is 31st.
So all depends if toga and ivory get to semis

Yeah it would have definitely been better to play against united tomorrow, considering their defence.

Even the fucking snow is on their side!!! They have an fa cup weekend of rest; we have toure and ade still out for probably both legs. Lescott and Bridge will still be out (?) and theyll have vidic et al. all back. We need some new recruits!

According to numerous sources of bollocks yesterday, it's looking extremely likely that Vidic could be off (esp after pulling a sicky for the Leeds match). Weeo is defo out long term, so their defence will hardly be 100% come the 19th (or 27th).
Fuck it. I'm taking this as a positive. Another night off the booze as well, and my liver needs it.

Vieira could play in it and he'd be well up for a jousting with the rags first match.

I'm gutted that we now have to wait another fortnight for this... but I reckon we'll definitely benefit from it. Everyone talking about United's defensive injuries - it's bullshit. Ferdinand and O'Gay were both definitely out and will still be out. Vidic, nobody knows, may have played, may not - that's not changed. So their defence tomorrow would prob have been Rafael, Brown, Evans and Evra, maybe Vidic instead of one of the CBs... the same defence we'll face in 2 weeks.
We could be strengthened by the return of Ned, Bridge, Ireland, RSC, SWP + any signings we might make... I genuinely think this works well for us.

100% agree. This break definitely benefits us in terms of injury returns and possible signings. We also no longer have to think about their 'response' to the Leeds game and his kids v non kids bullshit. Can enjoy a couple more terrible Scum performances, Vidic's imminent departure and more press interest in their imminent financial issues to put them well and truly in crisis. The snow is on our side!

Re. any new players that we might sign.
Would they actually be available for the first semi or would they have had to have been registered in time for the original date?
For example in our local league you have to be registered with your team 14 days before the original planned date of a semi final to be able to play in it.
