Farewell Vlad?

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Just spoke to my Bolton mate who reckons Coyle did his press conference this morning, and only sat down at his desk this afternoon, so any news of a Vlad loan attempt is premature.

Considering we have a big run in, and hopefully a long FA Cup run as well, I would like Vlad to stay. I'm sure Mancini is thinking of utilising him against Scunthorpe. I think Mancini will see him as a great sub for Petrov or SWP if they either get injured or tire.

Has anybody else heard that Abdi Ibrahim is in the squad tonight? Whether that means he will make the bench or not i'm not sure, but it's encouraging to see Mancini have no fear in getting the youngsters involved. Would like to see Boyata get a little more game time too, plus maybe a cameo from Vidal if we are putting Blackburn to the sword come 75 minutes.

A loan move for Vlad will be beneficial to both parties but I don't agree with loaning players to clubs in our division. There's an argument for him getting valuable experience in the league he will ultimately play in but he's still very young and experience gained from a top championship team will stand him in good stead also.

I disagree also with loaning players out within the same division - even though it's working out very well for us re. Joe Hart and possibly with the likes of Vlad and one or two others in the future.

Anyone know the limitations? How many are we allowed to loan out at once for instance?

It could end up getting silly, with us and Chelsea owning all the top youngsters and just spreading them around the rest of the Prem, knowing they won't be playing against us but could be helping to beat our rivals.

Sending them to the Championship or abroad is much fairer.

Loan to Burnley is perfect. They are no threat to our position and as long as we bar him from playing against us, which is standard, its win win

The boy needs some first team football. Premiership first team football.

Probably got more to do with SWP being back imo. Ibrahim doesn't even play in the same position.
