I think quite the opposite. Mancini will have seen the need for a big man up front against Blackburn, hopefully Benjani will - if nothing else - batter their centre halves and create space for Petrov, Tevez and Bellers to exploit.

At this stage of Robinho's recovery from injury, the last 30 mins should be enough, especially if we're 2 or 3 up and he can go on and express himself with no pressure. Same goes for SWP.

Another way to look at it would be that Mancini is giving everyone their chance. Benjani starting against Blackburn alongside Tevez isn't dangerous. Robinho, Santa Cruz and Shauny Wright are all on the bench.

Has anyone got a working free stream yet? It's find one within 5 minutes or run to the Pub...

So you'd put two smaller forwards together against Samba and some other Alladyce neanderthal? Benji is a good choice to soften them hup...Robby on to finish them off!! ;0)

I must agree Benjani is the perfect choice to roughen them up......If we were playing Rugby.

Is Ireland injured still/again?
I see SWP is on the bench. Anyone now if he's fully fit already?

Suprised about Benjani, but knowing him he'll probably grab a hat trick! I can see why Mancini has done it bearing in mind we've got two tough games coming up.

Yes. Cos they are better footballers. If Benjani was actually strong, could hold the ball up well and time his jumps for headers I'd think it would be a good choice. Fact is he hardly wins any headers and is physically quite weak considering his size.

I know people are disappointed about Benjani, but this team is still good enough to beat Blackburn...

Looks like Petrov is on the right again. I'm not crazy about that, but I shouldn't complain given his goalscoring record this season.
