he was no doubt a very gifted player unsure how recent injuries have left him. At the least we should sign him to prevent others getting him. valid post earlier if he did go rags on free and reverted back to old form that would be a disaster

I'd take him on a free, at worst we will be wasting his wages if he doesn't play as he was before the injury but if he does, then we would have got ourselves a very talented player that could occupy all positions in attacking midfield, exactly what we need and on a free too so it would be a bargain, not that we need bargains with the money we have but still.

He allegedly 'grew up' on the Shed and comes in any event from Camden.

As cockney as I am, then...
(i.e. not at all)

Offer him his ludicrous wages and I am sure he'll tear himself away from Chaz and Daveland to play for you.

I'd offer them £6m now.
They'd take it.
Its not worth waiting for him to have a pick of clubs to choose from, coz I reckon spuds would be right in there, and he'd probably go to them with them being cockerneeeeees. and its not like we can't afford it.

Decent player no doubt and on a free at his age wouldn't be too risky....

I agree as per usual with you Ted... Jose fucked a lot of players confidence up and Chelsea's storm to the league title was wham bam thank you mam with the only emphais being on winning something NOW, whereas I feel we're building for long term dominence, barring one or two signings since the take over.

Exactly what I'd do, if fact go one better and ask them to exchange him for the sturridge fee, before they decide a price on thurs

As much as it pains me to say this, we have absolutely no chance at all of re-signing Joe Cole.

He blotted the old copy book a few seasons ago and divides opinion at our club.

Rather more importantly, we haven't a prayer of paying to him what he imagines he's worth.

Spuds maybe but their wage structure isn't as flexible as yours.

IMO he should go to Westham, Fulham, Birmingham. He will be more useful to England if he is the star man in a slightly lower team, playing every week.

No doubt he is a great player, but I dont think we need him or his issues of work rate and injury.

We need to remember now if the traditional big 4 are letting players go, then there not really going to improve us anymore are they? We dont want cast offs or rejects anymore.
