Alan Ball, I think we all new we had had it once they put someone his terrible record in charge. Still remember vividly as a youngster asking why we had made him manager considering he had relegated every team he had managed.

Given the resources at hand, Pearce really didn't do that badly overall. Definitely the worst style of football I've seen us play though.

Was only young at the time, but I would've though Ball was the consensus? Either him or Beanie.

What sealed the deal for me was I found out watching the match on TV he not only played for the rags but also supported the dippers as a kid! And he looks like he's had AIDS since the mid nineties!

Fucking hell, there's some rich pickings in that lot.

Ball (R.I.P.) has got to be up there. It takes a special kind of fuck wit to get relegated with the squad we had, not to mention playing the ball into the corners at 2-2 and saying that he 'quite enjoyed' watching us get twatted twice in the space of a week by the dippers.

As much as I liked the guy, Pearce is probably the worst for me, for the simple reason that in my 20 years of being a season ticket holder, that is the only time I have ever entertained the thought of jacking it in. Well that and the fact that he relied on a stuffed horse to win him games. And Corradi.

You're quite right about Psycho, in fact I think we owe him a great deal for keeping us up, with a team of relegation candidates. if we'd gone down I don't think Frank would have been interested, let alone the arabs.
Mind you the football was dire.
Although he's a legend, our worst manager has got to be Big Mal, second time round. The decline really started with him.

Alan Ball everytime with a fair bit of back-seat managing from Franny Lee so they can be a double act of worst manager!

I remember loads of City fans clinging onto the slim belief that Alan Ball would be able to sign us Le Tissier and get us out of trouble :-D

Pearce was utterly dire football to watch and made it very hard to go to every week, sometimes I felt ill watching that brand of footy, but it was effective at keeping us up.

Peter Reid. Hoof it to Niall, get Whitey to pick up the pieces. Utterly dreadful to watch. The jug-eared, brain-dead scouse dwarf's "style" epitomised everything I dislike about long-ball football. And what has he done as a manager since big Niall packed the game in?
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

Kendall, he was p*ssed most of the time.

The Ball/Lee double act was pretty dire and although Reidy was pretty agricultural in style look where we ended up when we sacked him.

Alan Ball without a doubt. We were far too good to go down. In fact we shouldn't have even been in the bottom half with that team, but he still managed it. He was fucking useless.
