Will the Hammers speak Italian?

After Zola as manager and Diamanti who has started fairly well his adventure in the Premier League, West Ham could have other Italians aboard, as the Italian newspaper "La Repubblica" claims that Cagliari owner Massimo Cellino is in London to bid £60 million to buy the club, but the bank wants £70 million. It says that talks are going to continue through the night and the following day(s) and that there are three other potential buyers. The paper also claims that if the Cellino takeover will go through, Zola might leave the club as he's not on very good terms with his former boss (he was a Cagliari player years ago, with Cellino already owner of the Sardinian club).

I wonder if Walmai knows anything about these rumours, and if they have some prt of truth or not.

I know all about the rumours, but haven't a scooby what's actually going on.

The new Italian angle came totally out of the blue in the last 24 hours.

I think we're set to be sold, but don't know to whom and on what terms (Sullivan and Gold, previously of Birmingham, are apparently only offering to buy a 50% stake in the club).

In other news; its a quiet old window isn't it? We've not sold anyone, which is a bonus, but there's barely been any movement at all...

Well I don't wish you to have Cellino as owner, he's never been a big spender on the market for Cagliari, and he has a reputation of getting into fights with his managers because he likes to say what he thinks about team selection, tactics, etc.

I am bewildered about him wanting to enter the English football to be honest, and I fear for you that he might only be into it for the possible earnings he could make.

The rumour is on the basis that he went to watch QPR on Tuesday night. Seems like the perfect club for him if he likes getting into fights with managers, but overall sounds like a load of made up bollocks reading between the lines.

I'd be worried if I were a Hammers fan. Cellino makes our previous owners look like saints as far as giving mangers chances go.

He's been convicted of fraud twice too, so should sit well in the Prem. Redknapp back to WH?!

Not doubting that chief just that him & Cellino would make a right pair.

I'm not going to pretend to know everything about Cellino's dealings but I know enough to know you don't want him.

Yeah fair point. I know next to nothing about him, but, what I do know I don't like.

Fine - he can serve drinks in the bar in the away end.
