http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/8459969.stmTottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has been charged with two counts of tax evasion.
Mr Redknapp, 62, attended Bishopsgate police station to be charged with a £40,000 tax evasion.
The charges relate to two payments totalling US $295,000 allegedly made from former Portsmouth chairman Milan Mandaric to Mr Redknapp.
Mr Redknapp will appear at the City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on 11 February.
Jointly charged
A Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) spokesman said: "The CPS Revenue and Customs Division decided there was sufficient evidence and it was in the public interest to charge Mr Redknapp.
"He is jointly charged with Milan Mandaric, the former chairman of Portsmouth Football Club, following an investigation by the City of London Police and HM Revenue and Customs."
The charges relate to Mr Redknapp's time as Portsmouth manager.
It is alleged he evaded tax and national insurance contributions due between 1 April 2002 and 28 November 2007.
He left the club in 2008 to join his current employer.

I told you lot this a few weeks ago after speaking with one of my government colleagues.
Try seeing if you can google the mansion that the bent fucler owns on the south coast. I'm lead to believe that it is one of the most expensive houses in the country but I havn't seen it to be fair.
The IR are gunna squeeze the fucler till he screams and shits money.

It says it for 40k but now they have charged him I am pretty sure they can dig much much deeper than they have been able too so far. Honestly cant see him bothering with only 40k worth of evasion. Hes had it all pretty well covered up until now, Iam sure their will be a few more twists in this story.

Not a million miles from me. It's the most expensive place in the country to live, more than London even. That's Bournemouth in the background.
Maybe he could manage the prison football team, "Mean Machine" stylee? How about a Harry Prison XI? Marlon King, who else?

Is 'Arry that old bloke who gets it with the bomb?
To be honest, I quite like 'Ole Harry, he is a proper character who doesn't deserve to go down (unless he gets Spurs above us). And let's face it, certain managers have had more than that stashed in their drawers ;-)
