Hope for a Blackburn win but to be honest I doubt they will give their best, they need to concentrate on staying up so they won't put out their best team imho.

There are at least 4 worse teams in this league than Blackeye, and Sam will not be unduly worried about relegation, especially with Burnley now likely to spectacularly implode and be almost certs for relegation in most people's eyes. I find it hard to believe that Sam will let the opportunity to get to a final slip by playing a weakened team - in the early rounds maybe, but not now - they are too close.
On the other hand, I can see Villa resting players as they are pretty much a shoe in for a UEFA slot regardless, against fairly weak opposition, Villa could easily rest 4/5 first teamers and still win comfortably.
I hope for a Blackburn win, a good one too - but I can't see it myself uinless Sam's bollocking after Monday's dire performance takes effect.

Sam and everyone around the club will want this, regardless of league position. I'd actually say they'd have thrown our game in a bid to beat Villa and a chance of a trip to the Twin Towers.
Looking forward to seeing 2 totally different styles of play in a very open game, regardless of the winner.

Half full or half empty? Depends on your perspective!

Blackburn have made a decent start and they will need a lead to take to villa park if they want to progress to the final.
I would definitely prefer Blackburn in the final anyway.

Bright start by B/burn but they have started to let Villa come back into it.

We didnt sell out until AFTER the original game was rearranged - against THEM ffs. Had we not been playing united, we would have been nowhere near full - bad time to be paying out £100 on tickets just after xmas

Blackburn 0-1 Villa
A good counter attack which Milner leads and spreads the play to Downing who puts a ball across the 6 yard box and Milner is there to tap it in cleverly.

Well said mate.
The sooner he ends up permanently unemployed the better. He's the only manager I'd definitely say makes the game a worse spectacle.
