How do you get over a defeat?

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

How do you get over a defeat?

Postby Moonchesteri » Sat Jan 16, 2010 9:47 pm

For me there's not really much you can do. But the best way to make sure your whole weekend is not ruined is to get really pissed.
Today I bought two beers to enjoy for the match. But after the 2nd went in and the half-time whistle was blown I knew there's not other way of getting over the looming defeat than by getting really drunk (so I had to go and buy twelve more).
I know it's not really the best possible way but otherwise (if I don't drink after a defeat) I'll just end up being grumpy for the rest of the evening and in my case that's pretty much a spoiled evening in my case..

Do I take City too seriously? Or do you have any good suggestions how to get over a defeat FAST?

Cheers. Hopefully there are not too many spelling mistakes lol

The wall usually gets the blame as i punch fuck out of it when we concede goals ive learned to hit a wall instead of throwing my cup around the room or punching the tv screen or pc screen. im usually a nasty to my missus when we lose then i have to apoligise the next day. But this site has halped with some rational posters which makes me see a diffrent side so thanks :)

I just tell my-self, we were un-lucky,the other team were dirty bstards, the ref was crap, it was not a penalty, the clocks have gone back, jet-lag, to much turkey for dinner, or the cat has shit in the bed the night before, and that was the reason, like bad karma., well that's me.

With the phonetic spelling, he seems more Scandinavian.

To be honest, I remember the times we went three defeats on the trot, and surviving. Or four.
