How About That One?

How About That One?

Postby Niall Quinns Discopants » Tue Jan 19, 2010 10:11 pm

How about a Derby win in League Cup Semi, I ask thee?

Get the fuck in!

Carlos stole the headlines but this time De Jong was fucking massive.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

de jong motm. though there are a few to pick from.

for the 2nd leg though, we need a re-think once the dust has settled. cannot play like the first 30 and last 20 at the swamp.

Some giant individual performances from Kompany, Bellamy, Given, De Jong and Tevez got us over the line there.
All we are saying is give Doug a pass.

we performed well against fergies fledglings though, thats going to be a good team in years to come if they are that good at this stage of their young careers ;-)

De Jong is a fucking monster! My new fave after the dunney monster.

I hope to see Edge chipping in with some praise soon

not sure a derby win gets a lot better than that, fell behind then fought our way back to take lead and then to defend under all that pressure was outstanding and to go with it being in a semi final

That was the best team sir cunt could put out, and in my opinion we paid them too much respect(too many have done it this season) but we werent at our cohesive best and we still have something to bite on second leg. Is it the Italian manager factor? I havent a clue, but from 0-1 we found a way to get to 2-1 and keep it that way. Ps. all scum and associated cunts out there moaning about the penalty...jog on, remember "injury" time earlier this season. If we get through, I'll call it quits!

Fuck the lot of them. Great performance from Carlos.

Absolutely erected right now.

Shut it. Of course it was a penno. We were on the receiving end last game and we accepted it was correct. If you grab someone outside the box and it's a foul, then it's a penalty if you're still holding on inside the penalty area.

After Tevez, Kompany for me. Count the number of corners into his zone that he cleared and set a goal up. Absolute rock.

READ THIS........FUCKING TEVEZ YOU HERO !

But the sight of Gary Neville was too much to resist and Tevez delivered a 'shut your mouth' hand gesture to his former skipper, who backed Ferguson's decision to get rid of the Argentinian.

For all the understandable focus on Tevez, the most influential man on the pitch was Given, who turned away yet another point-blank effort when Giggs got his head to Rooney's deep cross.

The worth of that save did not become apparent until City's next attack when Vincent Kompany hooked a wayward Pablo Zabaleta shot straight onto Tevez's head.

As he scored and Eastlands erupted, the striker this time immediately raced to the home dug-out and cupped his ears, in exactly the same manner he did when he scored for United in a Premier League meeting between these two sides late last season, when the Old Trafford crowd's demand for him to stay was at its peak.

Just yards away, Ferguson stared straight ahead, chewing his gum furiously. Again the chant was 'sign him up'. This time it was City doing the singing.

Tevez's work was done. Given still had more to do. Rooney was denied three more times as United laid siege at the end looking for an equaliser.
