I watched the game on the beeb. They showed te oenalty situation about a thousand times, and I really couldn't see Rafa pulling Beller's arm or shirt in the oenalty area. That was a good bad call from the ref.

The corner leading to our second was correct, though.

No, no, no, you don't get it, the Beeb told me so ;-)

Rafa did actually grab out at Bellers once in the box which looked as if it put him off balance. A very soft penalty yes, but I think he must've seen the Micah incident and thought, 'Ding-Dang-Doo, that'll do for me you red Scum'.

Valencia was offside when the rags scored! By the way hope we'll have another good ref like him at the swamp next Wednesday!

Another one for Bacon to hate. He's running out of friendly refs. Maybe Mike Riley will come out of retirement for the second leg?

Hasn't he taken over as the guy in charge of them all?

I think the 5 minutes added on was for the city fans keeping hold of the ball and not letting it go.
On another note, I was at the match so haven't seen the pen decision yet, but I've seen this picture:

So for the people saying it wasn't a penalty, so you mean because it was outside the box? Because there's clearly a tug by Michael Jackson circa 1965 on Bellers and I thought at the match Dean pointed out it was for the second tug??

Mase - that shirt-pull was definitely outside the box. Inside the box he just managed to grasp his arm and put him off-balance and in my opinion it was a penalty. It's not a situation where Bellers would've gone down deliberately.

Just like Richards on Saturday, the ref first played advantage, then gave a foul in the box for the second offence. Must be new guidelines!

That photo is the one outside the box. Never a penalty in a million years ... not that I give a fuck, they've been getting "penalties" like that for decades now

Also didn't Fletcher/Carrick catch the ball at one point but no pen was given. Was that a pen or not?

Not even close, if we're thinking about the same episode.

Nice one. Couldn't see from where I was sat. Fair play to Dean then.
