Havent seen this posted elsewhere, but was staggered to find that the average age of the players who played in the united side last night was 29.

Ours was 23

Tick tock.

Not sure what you are saying there John.

Surely you are not implying that a Knight of the realm may have told an untruth?

i had the thought of totalling the average age last night after they announced their line up. However, I was all giddy and then came over all nauseous and then went for a twenty minute nervous toilet trip and then sat watching the build up and then the fantastic game.

I bet your glad you posted it now ;-)

I am.

I think that's unfair. It was a mixture of geriatrics and kids. Don't forger they had van der Saar in goal, 74, Giggs, 57, and Scholes, 56 on the pitch pushing up the average. Fabio (?), at RB, is 2 and his twin brother is still a foetus.

You've got to hand it the scum, they have scouts everywhere.

For the starting line-up's our average age was 26 years 1 month, theirs was 27 years 5 months. Dedryck was the youngest on show as he just turned 19 in November.

position for position we were younger in 7 starting positions.
Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.
