I truely believe if we play the same as we did we don't stand a chance. It was nice to get an neutral, Arsenal fan's view on the game and I actually saw it the very same way. I was disappointed how we set out our stall, be it forced by injury or not. I was also shouting at the TV when Tevez and SWP were taken off and I think we got away with all of the above, rather than got it tactically perfect. I said it before, if it was a league derby, I'd be saying Mancini got it bang on because we won, but in this case, with us playing at home first, I was hoping we would really get at them from the start and take at least a 2 goal advantage to OT.

I;m not going to say I have a bad feeling about it, but I hope if he insists on the same team and tactics, that we go for the early goal instead of waiting for them to score.

Fuck sake, my nerves are already at me... they weren't until kick off yesterday, but this is the big one!

Remember everyone that was just about the best team GlazercorpTMcould muster, we did not play fantastic, bit nervy etc. but we won. At the shitehole they'll come at us like a big bully swinging from the ankles and we can soak it up and hit them on the break, just as in the 3-4. I am confident that we are truly on a par with them, on any given day and at any given venue, and do you know what we aren't the only ones. Villa, Spurs, and most of the top half should now see them as beatable. They are. Stop paying them too much respect. Minus Rooney they haven't a clue where they are heading.

FFS THERE ARE SOME RIGHT NEGATIVE CUNTS ON THIS THREAD!

WE ARE 2 - 1 UP AND WE DIDNT PLAY PARTICULARY WELL......IMAGINE WHEN WE GO THERE WITH A BETTER TEAM i.e IRELAND,ADE ECT................I THINK WE WILL DEFINATELY SCORE AND THE SCUM WILL BUCKLE.

STOP SHITTING IT FFS.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

We're capable of beating them, no doubt. I just don't want to see us being as "scared" as we started the other night.

You could say my biggest fear on the game is fear itself!

If we set our stall out confidently, we'll be fine. We didn't do that the last night and we nearly paid the price IMO.

They'll get a soft penalty. I'd bet my gonads on it.

I'm still very confident though. I reckon it'll finish 1-1 with an ending that makes last night look like a picnic.
There'll be at least 8 minutes injury time too.

That sounds like someone shitting themselves to me. Need Ireland and Ade for back-up eh? All's I'd need is Vlad Wiess for a look out ;-)

Does the away goal rule stand in this competition?.. When Villa and Blackburn were at 2-2 aggregate tonight I'm sure the commentator said it would go into extra time if it stayed at that score.

He would have been right. It would go to extra time but not to penalties.

Yeah think the ref will be SHITE next week, as usual at the swamp, but especially now.

Also carl you cant just say about throwing ade and stevie in. Maybe stevie will play on sunday so I'd be more hopeful of him than an out of form / mentally fragile ade that hasnt trained for a month.

I really can't believe that I am reading some of this negativity. Some of you really are manic depressives. You hunt inside your own heads for the worst case scenario that your imaginations can dream up and then you give it energy by actually worrying about it.

For the 1st time since fuck knows when, City have reached a semi final. Not only that, we have reached half time with a one goal advantage. Not only that, we did so with a patched and cobbled up team...not only that, we can now strengthen our team in readiness for the 2nd half.

Instead of celebrating the fact that we have gone further in this competition than we have for years, you are manufacturing fear for yourselves. Some of you have some serious life issues that you need help with.

Should you be posting on here....or the fucking SAMARITANS????
I KNOW THAT YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU THINK I WROTE, BUT I AM NOT SURE YOU REALISE THAT WHAT YOU READ IS NOT WHAT I MEANT

The return leg will not go to extra time.

Definitely not !

We will win the second game because they threw their best team at us on Tuesday and came up short. They've lost already.

Wake up you lot ! city started a youngster in a makeshift defence and we came through.

There is a reason they played that defensive 4-4-2 in the first half , because we will get goals on the break and
that method of defending wears an attacking team out. We've seen it done to us time and time again, it's very difficult
to break through. Rooney played really well, but that's all they've got. Did anyone notice that Owen came on ? I mean the impact player didn't have much of an impact did he ?

It's going to be bad enough getting out of the swamp as it is never mind the extra time bollocks. They have it all to do again next week. Mancini took a calculated risk with the defensive line-up as he didn't want to lose it on the night. Flip that and you could say he lacked the balls to put the game to bed. Either way, we are where we are.

No point in going there and trying to change our approach, we're 2-1 up after coming from one down and I guarantee that Utd never saw that coming. We all know that on our day we are more than capable of getting a win there. Belief is everything from all of us next week, you know we're going to get a goal and that their defence is shite, added to this, if we bang in a quick couple, the place will empty double quick and we can all get back for last orders

Am about to pollute the board now so apologies in advance
