Talking to Spurs apparently

Giorgio Chiellini's agent has denied that his client is set for a move to England, despite being at the Manchester derby on Tuesday.

Chiellini has revealed that he was invited by both clubs to attend, whilst also admitting he is currently locked in talks with Tottenham.

Despite the conversations, agent Davide Lippi says a move is not imminent for the Juventus defender.

"I was there but it was absolutely a courtesy visit," Lippi told Sky Italia.

"I was invited by the two clubs and I was pleased to see a good match. The market is open all year, talking with everyone and everything, not just Chiellini.

"A real interest? It is normal when we talk about a very important player like Chiellini, but there is no news.

"There are many players that may interest Manchester City or the United, today I was talking to the leaders of Tottenham."

There is a possibilty the tax man will be and he could enjoy a free holiday with some of those ladyboys in Brixham. One of the few crimes you get jail time for, murder, rape, GBH, stabbings now get fixed penalties but robbing the tax man, well, bring back the death penalty I say!!!!!!!!!

An outstanding defender. Juve's bright spark in a terrible season. I'd be surprised if they let him go anywhere as selling their best players won't attract the likes of Hiddink in or Lippi back. Plus Cannavaro's no spring chicken. Has there been any price mentioned?

Sven tried to buy him for £10m before he was playing in Serie A because he was afraid they'd buy in someone to take his place after he'd helped bring them up (but really just wanted a contract extension).

Now that he's an important Italian international and keystone of Juve...

Lippi represents Cassano as well. There was talk about him coming to us last week.

Whatever is happening, Lippi's confirmation of talking to Spuds means nothing regarding Chiellini until something substantial comes out.

We're in the dark as ever. All it means is there are a few clubs including us who're talking to him about one or two high profile names.

Personally I hope it's Chiellini. I've always felt Cassano was overrated, certainly for the English game anyway.

Chiellini won't go to Spurs, they aren't big enough. And we can pay more. So if he was here to talk about Chiellini, he was talking with us and United. if he was talking to Spurs, it was about other players, for sure.
