I don't think we're proper fans xavi. All those late nights waking up at 1, 3 or 5am were wasted. We're just second class City supporters, although we probably shouldn't support them. Lucky you're not a legend xavi or you'd really be in trouble.

It's alright Mr. Greek, I'm too old for getting out on a Friday night, sooner stop in and get owt that's going. Not tonight though, home alone. Americans don't know cricket but there's some Trinidadians & Indians & Bangladeshis etc. round here that do, when it's a bit warmer.

i was 10 years old and my dad got a job in the states.
i feel such a disgrace for going along.
i'm not a proper city fan.
i may even be a rag.
Berbatov wins golden boot, spends following season on the bench while his team loses title on goal difference. Well played, Fergie.

sit on my lap and I tell you a story.

Once upon a time there was evil ruler called Frank Clark. Yet still some people wanted to support Manchester City. There were even people in exile and believe it or not, supporters who weren't even Manc's. Well some of these people thought there should be a place where they could discuss about City, so they went and set up an internet site on internet where all these people could meet and talk and they found lot of friendly Mancs who joined in. And they lived happily ever after.

Until one day knight Fook Wit rode to kingdom and started asking stupid questions. He was challenged by knight called Fook Ov and defeated.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

He's right you know, all you Johnny Foreigner fans are a disgrace, how dare you let anything get in the way of supporting city, as soon as you were out of nappies you should have been on the first flight to manchester.

I'd call 'job' a pretty decent excuse.

Lack of them (in my profession) in Britain.

Abundance of them abroad.

Simple as.

I still go and see City 2 or 3 times a season on average. Don't get me wrong, if you could get a season ticket included in unemployment benefits, I'd pack in work straight away, and move up to Manc.

Quite clearly the OP was drunk when posting this.

Born in Lancashire, grew up in North Manchester. Spent a fucking fortune supporting City. Now live in Vancouver. It's a great place to live. Still got back to see Mancini's 1st game vs Joke City.

Mines that stock in trade old chestnut of an answer "I wanted to broaden my horizons and grow as a person" or roughly translated to "I wanted to live in a country with cheap beer , hot señoritas and all year round sunshine" - so YOU decide why I uprooted and did one!;)
