City Told To Remove Offensive Items From Club Shop?

Has anybody else heard about this? Apparently the police have ordered City to remove anything relating to our rivalry with the scum off the shelves.

If this is true I hope that they are also going to insist that the scum remove the countdown banner from the swamp!!

The whole thing is getting a bit silly IMO.

Hope it isn't true, what would football be if rivalries like these are relegated to a dark corner?

Let them enjoy their little banner while they can. It won't be there for much longer.

Stuff like Welcome to Manchester T-Shirts, and the tourist T-Shirts I suppose.

this is true because they've took the tourist tshirts and hats off the site. its bollocks they cant tell us what we can and can't sell, non of its illegal. just like there is fuck all they can do about the posters we put up.GMP are handling everything between city and united wrong i wont be suprised if were let out of the swamp straight after kick off either it will just be another fuck up to add to the list for this semi final.

Im complaining about this to someone, i don't know who but someone.

The shop is part of the club and wouldn't sell anything that really has a go at Manure. That t-shirt with a Mancunian in blue and "tourist" in red is tame, and a bit lame too. Maybe selling copies of the Tevez poster is as far as the shop would go, they'd never sell anything with a stronger message like the t-shirt that has Bart Simpson peeing on a rag jersey. Got one years ago from that little souvenir shop right outside Maine Road, they stocked "Uwe's dad bombed OLd Trafford" shirts as well, and the club would never stock anything in such good taste as that, they're too corporate.

well that's fine apparently, since it's scientifically factual. There have been university studies done to prove it, so...you should still get your gum-chewing cunty parcel any day now i reckon.

cheers

I might sound a bit thick here but why would a welcome to Manchester T shirt be offensive?.Also any person coming into Manchester from elsewhere is considered a tourist.

well they either removed them or sold out.

Nothing on the web site now that is in the lease bit controversial.

I wonder if they still have them in the shop? Might go in tomorrow and see.

Remember that shop, had a south park one cant remember the wording on it.

Have got the tourist and welcome to manchester ones both for £20 but mrs' didnt turn the tourist one inside out when drying it and now looks years old :( that'll teach me for not doing it myself, scandalous if true but just shows how much were getting to them and will make the songs even sweeter on wednesday.

I had the Uwe one. And the one that mimiced Nike's Cantona "66 was a great year for English football: Eric was born", but iwas something like "95 was a great year for English football, United won fuck all". I think it was 95 anyway. Can anybody remember the one that had the prints of a pair of football boots which came out soon after Cantona's kung fu kick? All I remember are the muddy footprints, I forget what else was on the shirt.

Quality little souvenir shop though. Always picked up me shirt before the game, had me chips and gravy from the city chippy before going to the game, leaving at full time for the Pink outside the North Stand and then standing outside a tv rental shop on Claremont Road watching the results come in on final score. Ahhh memories.

I used to go in that shop as it was near my entrance in the North Stand. Got a t-shirt of "Old Trafford: 60,000 Muppets" with the entire Muppets ensemble sat in the stand.
