Common trend in business. Cut some fucking meals from people who hardly earn anything anyway. What fucking difference does it make if you are 800m in debt? I do think that they have areas where there's possible to actually make some saves.

But hey, that's modern life for you.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Agreed this is hardly gonna make a bit of differnce I think this is showing they are in more trouble than they are letting on.

As long as none of those saves are made in their fucking goalmouth on Wednesday, I don't give a fuck Mate...:-)

They have always had a reputation for feeding up the media and the journos. I wonder if they'll still do that to keep a favourable headline or two?

Actually, it will make a big difference. Suddenly all the little perks have gone for the hard working behind the scenes staff. Working there will become more and more difficult over the coming months and years.

Budgets will be slashed and departments will have little to work all of which will reduce morale to rock bottom, especially if they don't have the feel good factor of winning a few pots.

All those little perks which have been removed would save what? £50,000, £100,000. It's just one or two week's wages at most. Resentment against the playing staff from the behind the scenes staff will increase to new levels.

maybe they should just ask some of there red through and through players to take a pay cut, shrek springs to mind its not like any of them are there for the money atall is it, sure they'd make the sacrifice for the good of there club which they love so much

Itll be even better once we make the champs league, they wont be able to offer anything like the wages we can, anyone they show interest in, we can just gazump them by 100% and really fuck them off, leaving them with rejects, OR the odd player that would rather play for them, but on massive wages, draining them even more. It'll co-incide with fergie leaving and suddenly the tide will have FINALLY turned.

Only thing we need then is 20 years of success!
