Team for the big one

Postby john@staustell » Mon Jan 25, 2010 12:57 pm

So we've seen Mancini in action for a few weeks now. Not afraid to put kids in. Habit of springing a few suprises.

So many questions about this one. Will he go out to defend with all hands on deck and tin hats on and not let Scum score, with the object of scoring on the break as usual? Or will he shock everyone by going and taking the game to them? Will he use the returned Ade, or Bridge or Vieira? Does the long run-out for Boyata, Petrov, Robinho and (mercifully) Benjani mean they can forget it for Weds?

I reckon as Garrido was rested and there's still no sign of Bridge at Scunny, that Bridge is not back yet. I also reckon he'll stick with Tevez as a lone front man, and Richards as RB.

Put DeJong on Rooney, you know it makes sense!

Given
Richards Ned Komps Garrido
SWP Zabaleta DeJong Barry Bellamy
Tevez

I reckon he's gonna go all out with a full team and try and win it. We got the players to do it.

I really hope he does, it would look pretty crap if we went there to defend, and totally fudged it up..... our defence isnt good enough to sit back for 90 minutes.....

If Toure is back then stick him in with Vinny, and Ned to the bench.

We'll get result with this line up.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I bloody hope so. It'd be daft starting with a man or two down.

Sitting back and defending would be very silly however we need to try and avoid the same onslought as last week.

I see wellbeck has joined preston on loan, so taggart will be without the services of one of his fledglings for the 2nd leg....

I hope someone pulls him up about his commitment to playing his kids... old senile alcoholic twat.

why?????????????

because i think garrido is shite and barry has always done a good job at left back in the past.

i didnt know bridge was fit... if so then obviously he'd be my 1st choice.

Excellent.

Bingo's team will do me too.

I hope we don't set out the way we did last week.... we have to be more positive. An early goal for us and I think its all over.

There's no way Barry would be playing LB.

1) Bridge back in full training
2) Garrido rested against Scunny
3) Barry is probably slower than Garrido
4) Barry is class in midfield (despite lots of criticism on here)
5) Vieira will definitely not be starting (see DH report today)

I like JavGaz, but Valencia looked too dangerous for my liking in the first leg.
Problem is, Sylvinho will be raped by Valencia and Barry isn't really too quick either is he?

Fuck it, JavGaz for left-back!

Whatever the team and formation is it's important, imo, that we get into their faces.
Can't be doing with all that sitting 15 yards off the ball stuff - many have tried that at the swamp and failed.
