Cassano [MERGED]

The agent of Marco Motta is in Manchester today sorting out a loan-deal for him to City acording to an Italian presenter who was just on SSN, the funny thing is though is that the agent of Motta is also Cassano's agent, with Robinho more or less certain to join Santos I think we may very well be asking about Cassano who has asked to leave Sampdoria. Yes he is a nutter but he is also a top top player and Roberto chased him for years whilst he was at Inter. This could be two very good signings for City.

haha I'd love Cassano at City.

Not for him this being interviewed in your home country, bitching and moaning (a la Petrov) and then claiming a misquote/translation

He does his talking (and crying) on the pitch!

Cassano

As has been said in the Marco Motta thread, his agent is in manchester now.

The interesting thing is that he is also the agent of Antonio Cassano, who after falling out with the samp manager has publicly declared he wants to leave this week.

Apparently Mancini is a massive fan of Cassano, having tried to sign him at Inter and should Robbie go, it is believed he is discussing getting Cassano as his replacement with his agent today.

Info from the Italian reporter on SSN.

Looks like a very real possibility.

Thing is though he is also talented with a capital T too!

If bobby manc can manage the guy he has to get him in. he is a star.

You just broke my dream.

I had a dream last night and Cassano was in it

In my dream, I was in a hotel, and there were 3 italian players waiting to meet the city manager (i'd never heard of two of them, but one was a midfielder I think). It was my job to go and summon the players individually for their meetings, and I got talking to them all. Cant remember what was said, but I did end up shagging a stunning bird, which made the dream worthwhile (although not wet before anyone asks).

Off the back of that, I'd say we are signing Cassano, and I am going to get a fuck off a stunner later.

Cheers

Not being funny but he can cry and bitch all he wants but if he does the business on the pitch like in the video, i'd have him in a heartbeat.

Absolutely talented, much less of a nutcase than some years ago, but still a bit of a mad one when it strikes him, so I'm not sure we would benefit of him, but if Mancio reckons he can manage the guy, then I'm all for it, as his talent is huge. Physically-wise he's definitely more suited than Robinho to the English game, he's not tall of course but he's fast and strong, to push him off the ball you really need to make an effort, while Robbie is more easily pushed away.

I do agree that his general attributes would suit Premier League well. But that's not the point. I don't think there's worse loose cannon in game.

I'd quite like to see him here....I reckon a crew of him, Tevez, Bellamy, De Jong, Zabba and the longer reach of Kompany could make for a tasty centre circle dust up if it went off against some other team. Short arsed short fused psychos unite!

I agree...besides...Antti is the last person who can talk about 'loose cannons' ;-)

I would've have said the same of mr craig bellamy before he signed and hes been ace.

I don't think you can always judge a book by its cover. Cassano is immensely talented and if Mancini wants him then, we have to trust that.

The Italian paper Corriere della Sera claims that Motta's agent, Bozzo, who is also Cassano's agent, was in Manchester not only for the loan deal of the right-back, but also to lay the fundations for Cassano moving to Eastlands in the summer. We will see if that's true...

Is this paper usually reliable?.
