Given-8-top saves.
Richards-8-looking like the old micha.
Kompany-8-another top performance
Boyata-6-started off pace, finished very poorly, should of been subbed.
Garido-6-didn't play all that bad, just can't tackle.
Swp-5-not good at all, tracked back well.
Bellamy-7-Our main threat with Tevez.
Barry-5-very poor all round.
Dejong-6-ineffective to say the least.
Tevez.8whenever he touched it, something happened, wasn't happy seeing him laughing at the end, but put his shift in.
Zabaletta-6-anonymous.

Subs-ade-5-useless twat.
Ireland-5-not good enough.

Mancini-6-tactics were ok, players we not unfortunately.

Agree, Boyata was excellent. De Jong had a poor night, especially 2nd half.

Are you kidding? Boyata was probably the man of the match for City. I was hugely impressed with him. He is only 19, only played his third or fourth game for the senior team.

This was probably one of the biggest games he will ever play in his life and I thought he was excellent all things considered.

Yes he might be to blame for Rooney's goal but that's about it. I thought he was fantastic and deserves an 8 at least.

given - 7 made a great save but should of come off his line for the final goal
garrido - 5 shaky. imo he is shit. cant pass to save his life
ricahards - 7 had a good game
boyata - 8 - good game from lad, great prospect
komapany - excellent game, bit to soft in the tackle for the carrick goal

de jong - 4 absolute shit. im a massive fan of his but he was all over the place
barry - 6 very average
zabaleta 5 - not a midfielder
swp - 6 got at them a few times, wasnt helped by getting constantly fouled
bellamy - 7 we should have got the ball to him more. every time he got it i thought something would happen

tevez - 8 yet again worked his arse off and scored.

Did the op engage his brain when writing next to ade?

He didn't do well but he worked hard and was involved in the build up to the goal. Missed his header. Not useless
and not a twat, the latter, a name I would level at the op.

given - 7 Best keeper in Europe
garrido - 5 he is crap imo, too airy fairy in a position where u want people to get there foot in
ricahards - 8 Showing real potential again
boyata - 8 - Excellent prospect
komapany - 9 Showing that this is his natural position! Collosus

de jong - 4 Poor tonight
barry - 6 Out played by the Scum midfielders
zabaleta 6 - Pt a graft in but looked more assured at LB than Garrido
swp - 6 Still not at his best after injury
bellamy - 7 Usual threatening and tireless display, Belleres typifies everything city fans want. Now a massive favourite among the fans against all odds.

tevez - 8 This guy oozes class i reckon, cant see how people just call him a runner

To summarise, i think we are struggling a little in some positions as we have player just come back and away and all over the show. Roberto needs to regroup the full squad and get everyone settled again and working together and get a fixed strongest 11 n go from there. Too many players just coming back from injury or african nation or even still injured for us to get anything like a good run going at the minute.

Only saw that now... what a knobjockey. Adebayor was instrumental in setting up Tevez' goal.

Disagree that boyota was MOTM. I thought kompany had a better game and had to do bits of his work.

Boyota did some crazy random boots and he made some great clearances, but alot of them were very lucky.

Seems it's only me who thought that Given should have got to the ball for the first goal when Giggs control knocked the ball miles in front of him. Look how it was before Giggs was in control of the ball after his first touch. Whether he should have come for the last goal I don't know but I don't think it was his best night.

Given - 7 - 2 world class saves, but the winner was headed in from 5 yards out.

Richards - 8 - Excellent allround game

Boyata - 7 - Some solid tackles, some dodgy positioning, some great headed clearances, some terrible slices. Mixed bag but he will be better for this experiance.

Kompany - 8 - Held the defence together some great tackles.

Garrido - 5 - Rightly targetted by fergie, was lucky to be up against the averge Nani and not Valencia. Bridge need not worry about regaining his place.

De Jong - 4 - Made a tackle in the 85th minute and gave the ball away when he touch it on those 3 occassions. Like playing with 10 men, more 1 dimensional than Robinho.

Barry - 6 - Got around the pitch and tried to make things happen. Had too much work to do in midfield, his 2 partners were lacking.

Zabaletta - 7 - A 5 in midfield, was only slighty more involved than De Jong. But at left back, showed just how poor a defender Javier Garrido really is.

SWP - 5 - Didnt get into the game. This has happened to him alot this season and is a big worry.

Tevez - 7 - Never stopped trying, scored a wonderfull goal and had little service. Shame he hasnt got a full supporting cast yet.

Bellemy - 7 - Our biggest threat.

Subs

Ireland - 6 - Another who never got into the game.

Adebayor - 6 - Another who never got into the game. But welcome back.

I stand by what I said after the first leg. SWP was pants. If he's not fit or not I don't know. I certainly got sick of him losing the ball in possession at COMS and tonight he was even worse.
Why did we let Weis go?

I'm shocked at Kompany's ratings! Overall decent BUT Rooney was HIS man in their thrid goal.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?
