The perfect post for a day like today

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

The perfect post for a day like today

Postby Original Dub » Thu Jan 28, 2010 1:38 pm

Hats off to Mrs Razor:

Mrs Razor here!
I would just like to say well done to City. You are now looking like a team that has the ability to take on anyone on the day and get a result. I have said this morning to Mr Razor that the only thing you have to achieve now is the ability to hold your nerve on that big occasion. It's kind of like a tennis player in his first grand slam final. He may have won smaller tournaments but does he have the mental nerve to serve for the match!
On the pitch last night you had very few players who've been in that position in the past and I think nerves got in the way. This can only be rectified with time and experience. What I have seen from City in the last few months is fantastic and I really think over the next one or two seasons everything you want will come true. I also believe though that you may well have lost that second leg playing Chelsea or my team Liverpool because they 'know' how to play the big occasion! It's just experience and belief that is separating you at the moment.
Be patient guys your day will come and a lot will have been learnt from last night!

I felt this deserved its own thread, because there's a lot of raw emotion on here today and this genuinely made me feel better. It was like a John68 post but from a neutral who is simply telling it as it is.

Perspective is precious.

Thanks again Mrs R!

Be honest. You just want to get in her knickers, right?
"Like all bullies, they've just found out that there is a much bigger guy in town, someone who is richer and more powerful than their worst nightmare. And this smiling Arabic assassin is intent on stealing all the treasures they've nicked off everyone else, and pulverising them into commercial and footballing oblivion as he does so."

I have already commented on this in the other thread.

Time to get our chins off the ground...drag ourselves back to our feet...stand tall...and remember that the rags may have the past but THE FUTURE IS OURS.

and thanks again Mrs R.

I'd like every fucker to stop trying to be postive today please.
I fucking hate the days 27/01/2010 and 28/01/2010, and I'm gonna be a miserable, arguementative cunt all day.
then them two days are gonna get wiped from memory, and never spoken of again.

"Typical City" time. That's what.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

My brother, a rag, sent me a text at the end saying that the tie could have gone either way and that whilst it was no consolation to me, City's time is coming and soon

My bird at the final whistle turned to me and said wellllll your moving that weekend you didnt need Wembley.

I nearly buried her.

She did let me have my wicked way later on though.

LAHAD be safe in the knowledge that the last big Trophy that the Scum may win is only going to be the Rumbelow/Milk/League Cup.

Last year all I got from Rags was that it didn't matter to them, wasn't even on their radar.

Last night proved beyond all doubt that they are seriously worried about us, and the fact they are in terminal decline and may never see a big occasion again.
