According to our italian friends again a move for Jerome Boateng is close.

Manchester City is closer to the purchase of Jérôme Boateng (21), Germany defender of Hamburger.The player could come in the Premier League for a figure of around 8 million.

I wonder why the news in Italia would run this story... checked the German news and cannot find anything new on this they are only reprinting the italian report.

Saw him playing for Hamburg on ESPN freeview last weekend. Big lad looks decent on the ball. £20m is talked about seems a bit steep!

we seem to have a good relationship with hamburg, they havent let us down with a player yet either.

anyone watch much bundesliga, this lad any good?

Well he is doing the business for Hamburg that's for sure. I am also quite sure that he didn't get into the German team for being crap. ;)

Of course you never know how he will do in the Premier League but I don't think defenders have to adjust that much coming into this league.
