Why is John Terry still England captain

Why is John Terry still England captain

Postby Leedsblue » Fri Jan 29, 2010 7:28 pm

In the last few months he has :-

Touted his name for sponshorship using the England captainacy as a key selling point.
Raised injunctions against a newspaper group to stop them for publishing details of his private life, this from 'Dad of the Year'
Been accused of pocketing cash for giving ground tours , the assumption was that he was avoiding tax or using a kids charity as an excuse
His father was named as being involved in selling drugs
His mother was cautioned for shoplifting.

See http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... caine.html for more details

I have no idea of the legalities of all the above stories and I am only stating what I have read in the newspapers. Is this man fit to be England Captain. I think not.

john terry is a fantastic centre back and much better than any other english centre half out there. He is an experienced leader on the pitch which makes him a natural choice.

He is a twat of a person. but on the pitch he is the leader you would want in your team regardless of personal issues.

The captain of England football is supposed to represent English football. I don't want JT doing that for English football. He is chavvy scum.

Beckham was an excellent England captain, how can he be compared to Terry.

Hardly like for like, one incident compared to many incidents

I suppose you think Barton is a model citizen as well.

Beckham had a family and did the dirty on them with their nanny, then denied it all and was about to go on live TV denying it when she produced voicemails and texts from him. He then admitted it. Slimey twat. I will never try and protect any cunt that has done this type of thing, but just pointing out that Beckham was not a role model as some proclaim. Neither is Terry.

Your comment about barton is just stupid.

In the history books, I used to think it was fucking stupid that leaders of men were stripped of their duties because they lusted after the "wrong woman".

He is a cunt of a husband, a cunt of a friend, (I won't say a cunt of a father because I can't say I know he is), a cunt of a human being maybe...

But a damn fine leader and that's what you need on the football pitch.

Folk have their weaknesses and fuck ups in life, but that doesn't mean if they are the best at what they do at work (and their weakness/fuck up doesn't directly affect that work) they should no longer be allowed to do it.

Just my opinion of course...

Although wrong, I don't actually see a problem with a bloke having an affair; it's natural. What I do have a problem with is the fact that this wasn't just as with an england team mates wife, but with a more up and close day-to-day team mate. You may say there's no difference, but to shit on a mate you see every day has got to be far worse than someone you see every blue moon!

I agree with both you and OD, which puts me in a fucking limbo ...

I've personally never been unfaithfull and can't forthe love of god understand poeple who have affairs. But I've come to accpet that I'm a monoagamous kind of guy, whereas a lot of people aren't. I'm also a firm believer that your personal life has nothing to do with you professional life. As long as you're doing a good job, you should be able to fuck who- and whatever you want (as long as it's legal (uunless you live in some idiot place whwer oral sex or homosexuality is illegal)). But as you both've pointed out, Terry's slept with one of his team mates wifes. IN the businees world, that's like sleeping with one of your emmplyees wives. It's just no on and no matter how good of a leader you are on the pitch, you turn into a wiorthless one as soon as you've dipped your dick.

He's not that young anymore. He's been filthy rich for more than a decade. He should've gotten used to the power trip.

He abused the power, just like he did with her.

Because the only real alternative shags grannies in his spare time. Mr Capello clearly has an eye for the finer things in life.

The way I look at it is that we would all love to have all that cash and shag lots of hot women, and yes I would get my fill. However, when i then find the one, thats it. the shagging around days are over because you don't need to do it. I hope she fucking takes him to the cleaners, i've never liked Terry, or Rooney or Gerrard. Horrible people.

Owen for captain. lol.
