Ha ha, very true. I reckon Spain is quite low down on Shaun's list of places he wants to play!

Right its simple if they give us one of the following players: Xavi, Iniesta or Messi they can have him.

As much as I love the guy, it's glaringly obvious that most defenders now know how to play against him. He's been sussed and rarely beats a defender these days. Shame really, cos I love having the lad at the club.
Seems a bit of a surreal transfer story, to be frank.

Never looks fully fit to me. When he's at his sharpest he beats them just as easily but he seems to lack the spark & energy sometimes. Think it's down to knocks/niggles & the oppo know it so kick him a lot early in games.

Is that so??
http://www.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/forum/vi ... 84&start=008/09 Premier league statistics
83 - Shaun Wright-Phillips made more successful dribbles than anyone else this term.
That would indicate that you are one of the people I was talking about earlier. NO winger in this galaxy always beats his fullback but SWP does it more than anyone else on the league.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

If he is playing as bad as some would suggest why would Barca supposedly be interested in him . On top of that Don Fabio keeps picking him.
I dont think he is playing badly at all and has been one of our most consistent performers this year

Weren't they after him first time around? (i remember quotes from Deco at the time)
The only way Sweep will leave is if he hands in a request which I eally dont think he would.
Also.. just seen it on SSN too.

That said I would be amazed if Barca were genuinely interested in him.
if i had a choice of keeping shauny on instead of some of the other dead weight i would keep him till he wants to retire cos he is the best player and advertisement for our academy and a genuinely nice guy, i want a shauny testimonial when he retiers still wearing a blue shirt
plus the only reason we sold him to chelsea was we were poor and £21 million was an offer we couldnt really refuse but £7 mil you can fuck right off barca you cunts

What in the fucking hells need is there for a new contract?
Jesus fucking christ, i hate footballers, money grabbing wankstiens.

totalfootballmadness haha
I'm surprised people are surprised that Barca would be interested in SWP. I think he'd be absolutely fantastic at Barca, tho possibly depending on his mental state. He didn't exactly settle into top form for any length of time at Chelsea; couldn't quite seem to get his head right to be as confident as he is at City. It would be a massive culture change and he might not adapt, I realise this is purely speculative.
Either way we should do everything we can to prevent this happening. I really value him as a player and thinkhe has a big part to play.
