Looks like Johnson and McDonald could be coming in tomorrow, who knows we could sign one of them tonight.

I'm sure Johnson will want to push this through.

Just says improved offer mate, the last was about £4.5million apparently so i'd imagine it will be closer to the £7million range this time.

Cheers lads hopefully this will be done by tonight, Johnson is a top player would be a great signing if we can pull it off.

Why does a top player play in a Championship team?

If you are determined to bounce straight back, then you have to try to keep hold of your best players, just like we did when Joe Royle took us down

They let Downing go on the strength of how good this feller is which shows they rate him.

Or was it the £10m+ why they let him go.

And. When we were shite quite a few rated sir Joey as well... And we played in Prem
.To be honest I don't know much about this lad. He has some job to do to win me over if/when he comes..

Adam Johnson is prem quality, I have absolutely no doubt about it. I have always liked him and said at the end of last season that he would have been the only player I would take from the relegated teams.

I don't understand this signing unless we are planning to offload somebody in the summer. We already have Bellers and Petrov. OK so Robinho has gone on loan. If he has a great 6 months with Santos and a decent world cup will Bobby Manc sell? If he does nothing in the next 6 months will anybody be willing to pay the fee and his wages? So we could have 4 players fighting for the 1 position.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

Mate, Petrov is out of contract in the summer.... Bellamy himself has admitted he finds prem football hard going week after week.... that's the reason we need a left mid
I must remember to get a new signature.....

plus he can play both sides from what i've seen -- which id admittedly not a lot but he doesn't look out of sorts on either side.

cheers

Fair enough. I suppose there'll be a number of transfers befrore he's got his own squad sorted.

Petrov will be gone in the summer. I've enjoyed having him here but he isn't good enough for a top 4 team which is ultimately what we are trying to become.

I hope this happens, it will be nice to have another option on the flanks.
