two very important batches of 6 pointer games left

I think we are looking increasingly favourable for 4th, but we have two spells of 3 games where we need to do well (as well as ensuring we continue to do well against the other teams) of the 6 games we have 4 at home and we also have Everton to play which is at home. I think that if we continue with our excellent home form, 4th is ours! I hate being so positive as it always bites me on the arse (just like last week).

And Burnley and West Ham will be fighting for their lives, none of them will be easy. But you're right WW, if we can take points off our rivals in these games then we're looking good for 4th spot. It's ours for the taking.

Hijacking your thread a little, WW, rather than starting a new one, there's also a fantastic opportunity over the next three league games ahead of that first 'batch' of six-pointers.

We play Hull away, Bolton at home and Stoke away.

Over the same period Liverpool have a tricky Merseyside derby at home to a resurgent Everton, then play away at Arse. Spuds and Villa play each other so someone will drop points there, Villa are then at home to the Rags and Spuds are away at Wolves. Even Arse are within our grasp as they are away at Chelsea and then have the game against Liverpool.

Of course, we need to do our bit against these supposed 'easier' teams which is where we have let ourselves down in the past.

I'd also like to go on record and say what a disgrace it is that we have two consecutive non-televised games coming up...
