Trust on the football pitch is different though, and you know what you're going to get with Terry. You can trust that he will give his all, throw himself in front of every ball and you know that you're fighting for the same cause ON the pitch. I agree with Wonderwall that this will have very little impact on the pitch and he makes a good captain.
Having said that I think he would still display all the same leadership qualities with or without the armband. If there was a standout second candidate I wouldn't mind them getting the nod.
