I really rate Johnson. He was killing us down the left flank when we played Middlesborough.

Delighted we've signed him. Think of all those years a top prospect has been whisked away from under our noses as soon as we've shown an interest, leaving us with the scraps. No longer. He plays in a position that has been Englands problem for at least 10 years now. First time I saw him I thought "first team football and he's England material" Downing goes, he gets games but boro drop out of the prem. A matter of time before he moved and I'm chuffed to bits it is us.

Will soon be showing Gareth Barry how to play on the left side of the park.
A very nice signing.

One of the most highly rated young English players around - glad we've got him and hope he isn't the new Buster Phillips.

Could be an absolute star. I know most Middelsbrough fans think he's better than Downing. That being said it's a big step from Championship to Premiership.

Be very interesting to watch his development in a bigger team with much bigger pressures.
Its good that we can rotate between him, Bellamy and Petrov to give him time to settle in for a few months. We've runined many young prospects down the years by putting pressure on them to be the best player in our squad.

Aa far as i know he's ready to go straight into the squad for sat against Hull. Does anyone think Bellers may get to play as a front man now Johnson's able to take the left wing?
