haha....I knew you'd have something to say about this.
On the basis that footballers wages cannot really be compared to "normal" jobs in any sensible way....and on the basis that he is operating in the top end of his profession (ie within the PL), and will be working with colleagues who are arguably much less talented than he who will be earning 20, 30 or 40 times what he is...I would say that his "salary" very much is nominal at the very best.
1k a week in London does not go very far I will tell you that much
