THEM GLAZERS DON'T HANG AROUND

Manchester United could cash in on their fans’ “Green and Gold till the club is sold” campaign by introducing their own merchandising.

The Mole understands that United had already designed a range of souvenirs in the colours of founding club Newton Heath before fans stepped up their campaign to force a change of ownership at Old Trafford.
"I scored after 19 minutes a "bluemoon" goal - David White picked it up, he saw me standing alone, he crossed and I hammered it home. The moon had turned gold"

That is beautiful.

Talk about being OWN3D!
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

The thing is, if this is true, there will be people who are stupid enough to buy the green and gold stuff from utd and be blissfully unaware how stupid they are being!

They will probably be the same morons who attend FCUM matches whilst proudly wearing their replica scum shirts, they just don't get it do they!?

They could also introduce a new away kit, seems they might not have done enough homework on this matter. The Glazers were never going to be too concerned over the green and gold fiasco, and will look to bleed the club dry even more.

The thing is, some rags are so fucking clueless that they'd buy them from the club shop. I know some who immediately started supporting FC United but only went when it didn't clash with games at OT, as they'd bought season tickets. They just looked at me puzzled when I pissed myself laughing at them.

Perhaps the fans should go and buy their bonds. Now yielding over 10% instead of 8.75 at the original offer a fortnight ago !

Manchester United bonds see value wiped off

Manchester United's sterling bonds have lost 7 per cent of their face value within two weeks of being issued.

The half of the issue denominated in US dollars has sunk to 94.5 per cent of face value.

The falls place the bonds among the worst performers on the maket so far this year and although this does not have an immediate effect on the club's finances, it could make it difficult for the owning Glazer family to use the bond market in any future refinancing.

Manchester United raised £504m with the bond issue and the Glazers were expected to use the money to pay down bank debt, enabling them to use cash flows from the club to pay off payment in kind notes from hedge funds whose interest rates will rise to 16.25 per cent from August.

Did you hear that Keith Harris guy (with Orville?) the banker who has experience in football takeovers and a self confessed scum fan likening the ground swell of opposition to the Glazers to that which preceeded the fall of the Berlin Wall. He was on talkshite and was deadly serious. The two muppets Brazil and Irani were lapping it up. I nearly crashed my car I was laughing that much!

I liked this bit:-

‘We absolutely do not expect Manchester United to go bust but there is better quality out of there in the market,’ he says. ‘It was mainly bought on an emotional ticket and people are finding them very difficult to sell because there are no natural buyers.’

and this:-

"Several institutions shunned the deal and the hope is for United, that the yield does not move even further out, negating the cost benefits of repackaging its costly existing debt."

HAhahahaha

you could not make this shit up
