for matchday transportGood idea. Will be interesting to see what comes of it.
25 people ain't a lot. Hope they can improve that. I would imagine this was done as much for internal use during the week and they thought it would be useful on matchdays.

This would be really useful for me personally, I park in the North car park, in a normal space (not a disabled one), and I have problems walking distances (slightly disabled), so this sort of thing could be really good. However, I was at the Pompey game, and I did not see it at all on my way in, so I am not sure how useful it will be on a weekly basis, still a good idea.

Feck me, how good is that. Great to see the club looking after fans who have difficulties getting up the walkway.
These things should be at every ground, who actually thinks up these things? Next we'll be offered heated seats!

I hear that the Metrolink system is expected to run to the ground in time for The Commonwealth Games in Manchester.

Unless there's snow, wind, rain or heat, in which case the entire system fails. We lead the world, you know.

And not forgetting, they only go one way...........the horses don't like it in reverse!

Absolute load of bollocks. There aren't many as reliable systems in world than TRAM. We get snow, wind, icy rain, rain and heat in Helsinki plenty and our TRAM system works basically no matter what.
If City of Manchester need a professional to improve TRAM system, I'm available. For reasonable wages as well.

What it can't handle is leaves. I lived 7 yeasr in Gothenburg, which has an excellent tram system, but pretty much every fall there are massive delays becuase of leaves on the track. It's sounds ridiculous, but the pulp is slippery as hell.

I loved the half arsed "relaunch of the New Metrolink" I observed when I was back.....new ticket machines on platforms (not working), staff all wearing new uniforms, whilst driving/working on old trams....new trams sat in the sidings....ridiculous

Actually.....on the way up Rochdale Road near what is/was the Sharp building there are some structures/bridges to the left that look like they are designed for the metrolink...does anyone know what they are actually for?
