He's working for the welsh tourist board, and he knows 98% of their customers come from mersyside.

I never pay attention to people having a go at city, but this has riled me up something rotten. Fair enough I will concede that United have 2 bigger games in Liverpool and Arsenal, but to say that the merseyside derby is bigger than the Manchester derby is one of the daftest things I've ever heard. Now don't get me wrong they are both massive clubs with fantastic support, but since the 80s there has not been one entertaining merseyside derby. The atmosphere is there no doubt, but the game though usually frantic and passionate, is always boring, settled by penalties or own goals. Manchester has had its fair share of boring derbies but there have been much more electrifying ones. We were on the wrong end of phenomenal games twice this season, and of course came out on top in one of the most hostile atmospheres that anyone's seen this side of Istanbul. You can go back right through the nineties, they gave us a few rollockings but most of the time we matched them in all but finishing which made for a fascinating game. And if this dickhead thinks that the trip to Goodison park is more important to United fans than their trip to Eastlands he is an *insulting name that is so bad you can't even think it up*

and by the way, the only reason the merseyside derbies are 'famed for their atmosphere' is because anfield can produce a great atmosphere. And as anyone who has ever been to anfield knows, that they only really pull it out of the bag for the big games, like every other set of fans in the country. Mickey Thomas - fuck off
