was listening to radio this morning on way to work and stopped to get some smokes, when I got back in the car just caught the end of a converstion by alan fecking brazil along the lines of - ..... "and it's a done deal he will be a city player next season".
to which stick on irani replied "does that mean gerrard will go too?"
Brazil said his "source" was a well known figure in the north east who has rarely been wrong in the past and stick on then pretended to know who it was etc etc etc...
now ignoring the fact these 2 are complete tossers and talksport is shite (but i can't do music stations at 6 a.m. and hate radio 4)

was is torres he was talking about? anyone hear this article...?

this is the same alan brazil that has predicted jackshit correct and recently cited a source as being a mate in the pub FFS.

I work in office with rags and quite a few scallies and like to come in each morning with a wind up of who city are buying/have bought and watch them "debate" - knowing that my "source" is alan fecking brazil....! - :-)

Brazil is stupid, incoherent, drunken oak who is to punditry what Shipman was to patient welfare.

His inside information on City told us Strachan was to be new manager a few years ago, and after the Sheikh's takeover stated the deal hadn't been done yet and could collapse. Absolute oxygen thief of the highest order.

Brazil probably heard someone say we're signing Fernando Gago in the summer & assumed it was the same person because he's a fat, drunken, ignorant, bag of shit.

I heard the same rumour from someone yesterday. I heard - Deal done. All that remains is the medical, to be done after his operation.

Iv got a mate who is a big Liverpool fan, season ticket holder. He actually said the other week he went up for a game and there were seriously worrying rumours (for him) flyin around Liverpool that Gerrard and Torres were to join City at some point..

I'd love it! But doubt they'd sell both. They'd be nothing without those 2, as is demonstrated whenever they're both injured.

From a finance, and team point of view, if the dont get CL footy next season, I think it makes sense for them to cash in on Torres for the 100m being talked about and buy a much cheaper replacement who can still get them the goals.

Gerrard would be a HUGE loss to the team on and off the pitch for a myriad of reasons...he is Mr Liverpool. Torres, although he is arguably the best center forward in the world on his day, they can replace his goals.

I have heard this aswell, from someone who has no reason to wind me up and i mentioned it in a thread a couple of weeks ago. The worrying thing is he tells me we are paying £100m for just Torres!

Yeah, My mate said about it a few weeks back and just thought it was more media bollox flyin around and I even said to him that its prob aload of bull. He did say it was doin its rounds in a big way. I cant really remember now, but Im sure he said a fig of £100million for both!! Like I say, I cant really remember too well as I didnt take it in too much as I didnt take it too seriuosly. Was only this topic that reminded me.

Im not too bothered about Gerrard to be honest.I do think they will have to cash in on Torres though.
