The magic of the FA Cup

With the Blues only three wins away from a Wembley appearance, impatient fans wishing to get an early glimpse of the FA Cup can now snap up the chance to see the world's oldest football trophy.

The FA Cup Trophy Tour rolls into The City of Manchester Stadium on Wednesday, February 10th, bringing a touch of cup-fever only three days before our vital 5th round clash against visitors Stoke City on Saturday 13th.

The 30-minute tour gives City fans of all ages the chance to learn the history of the magical competition, re-live classic FA Cup matches, and to walk on the hallowed turf itself. The highlight of the road-show is to score the winning goal in a virtual FA Cup Final, then hold the actual FA Cup aloft, creating a personalised video clip that can be downloaded later.

Outside the centre, children can participate in a game of 3-a-side on a specially made football pitch. Players of all ages can test their speed on a Kick Power test centre, and adults can show the kids that you never lose it on the skill and co-ordination tables.

City legend Mike Summerbee will be sharing his 1969 FA Cup winning experiences with fans on the day, and our lucky competition winners will get the chance to meet a member of Roberto Mancini's first team squad.

To register for any of the slots between 3 and 7pm, simply go to www.facuptrophytour.co.uk, who will contact you if your application is successful.

To enter our competition for the 6pm tour, which includes having your picture taken with a current squad member, email www.mcfc.co.uk. We have 18 places up for grabs, so get your emails in quick! The first nine we receive will be given two tickets each, and we will email you back to confirm if you have won.

And anyone who has a picture taken holding the FA Cup, whilst wearing a City shirt will be personally responsible when we get beat by Stoke. I don't care if you are only 6, it's your fault.

It may be worthwhile :)
