Three points from two games in hand could put us 4th (on goal difference). Four or more points will definately put us in a Chumps League spot.
Pretty good eh!

Aside from Everton, which is our other game in hand?
I think that by one month today, we should have some clarity about where we are headed having played Liverpool and Spuds, and still having at least 1 game in hand. Today was a bad defeat, but its the games against Liverpool, and Spuds that will really make the difference. If I was to be really greedy, we could do with racking up some goal difference against Bolton too, worth an extra point.
Spuds and Villa drawing have helped my mood so I'm still "glass half full" for now, but am worried.

Before , during and after the game a felt moody but now I feel better( the ale that is;)
Bobby Manc was a great attacker but seems to like defensive football, That's sort of contradictory.

We will be when we have played the same number of games as the teams around us.

we should be easily cemented there...it's just amazing to me that we can't get any real consistency.
Unfortunately for us, we have to play these matches to get the points. ;)
cheers

Better to have the points in the bank than have a wet dream about games in hand.

True, but we can't get points from games we haven't played yet.

Depends on how you look at it I suppose. The fact is we have played 2 games less than Liverpool or Spurs.

Was there another game aside from Everton that was re-arranged? (Due to carling cup rearrangement), if so who was it?

Stoke away is to be played mid-week when only 1 other Prem game is to be played, so I suppose that is our other game in hand.

Bloody hell, better shape up or we can make it 1 game in hand then! Good side at home Stoke as much as it galls me to say it
I was just wondering when we would be back on parity with the teams around us. As much as I like games in hand, its a false hope compared to points in the bag

Just watched the highlights (first time I've seen the result) so still feeling a bit negative. I agree we are still in a good position and I appreciate the positive sentiment, but today was a massive wasted opportunity.

I understand what you are saying SB but this is the same Hull team that drew with Chelsea the other night so really it's not as bad as first seen imo.And to add the last time we won a league game in Hull was John68s first birthday 1909.

Pretty good eh!
Is it? With our current performances and the fact that the likes of Phil Brown has sussed our tactics, then I'm not quite sure. I'm actually getting worried about Bolton, they put 3 passed us don't you know!

Although I shouldn't be, I am mate. Firstly, I was at both the Bolton, and more so, Burnley game, where Coyle had sussed our defensive players. He now has a decent record against us being 2-0 up at one point, and on top of that the Bolton players will be re-living there own lead against us.
Furthermore, the way we set up at the start of a game really worries me, and the fact we rely on a couple of players to attack the opposition, leaves us on the back foot. Finally, I reckon we'll see another crap atmosphere against Bolton, unless the players can get us going.

You werent like this with Hughes, are you really so worried
We HAVE to win on Tuesday. Anything less and serious questions have to be asked, but i'll leave it till then. I dont expect anything other than a win, maybe stupid, but I just hope that the away malaise will affect bolton this time
Agree about Coyle, but with a new manager, have to hope he hasnt worked it out - given my previous post though, you nearly got me expecting a defeat
