A 25 year old man from Staffordshire has been arrested.

one of my mates was there and saw what happened. apparently it was rovers on rovers after stoke closed the bars in the away end.

RIP.

I know it was at a football match but the fact it was there is not meaningful it could have happened anywhere as it was between 2 blackburn fans. Sad it happened really as the world we live in is a dark, dark place.

from what my friend told me someone pitched a bottle bin into the melee and this poor bloke caught it in the head.

the leagl system is appalling.

It was one of the new breed of piss headed Blackburn fans that have been following them this season. incidentally the lad arrested was from Preston, and according to some Blackburn fans a lad got off the coach at Preston coming back from Villa after bottling one of his own fans. Same guy?

It was very sick.

Makes you think when you hear about things like this,how easly a life can be taken. Makes you put things into perspective.

Our lads were pissin around at Stoke,throwing bottles and bins about. This lad was just very unlucky. Think its about time Stoke started bolting those bins down.
