Robinho has just scored! A cross came in from inside the box which was basically a little lofted cross into Robinho and Robbie jumps up and does that thing where he literally backheels the ball into the net in mid air. A very good finish!
But what pissed me off then was how he SPRINTED into the box to support his team mates and was there to finish it off.
When at City, He was hardly ever sprinting and was hardly ever there to supprt our players. it pisses me off big time!
Possibly because we didn't play him as a lone striker.

Santos have that Luxury to play him as a lone striker because they can fit Neymar and others into a packed midfield.
And Robinho as a lone striker in the premier league just wouldent work! He wouldent be able to hold the ball up and wait for support. He is not strong enough! And also with tevez and Adebayor in our team, We havent got that luxury where we can play just one player upfront. It wouldent work.

Why would he come back here in the cold & get flattened when over there he can stand in the 6 yard box unmarked, in the sunshine & be a hero? He could score 2-3 per game if that's typical of the standard. Like a testimonial game. Hopeless half hearted crap.

He was great in his first season with us but you need to be consitant. Yes he had an injury and that can ruin your form but he never got going again! If you compare him in the premier league to tonight.
He was prepared to run all the time. He was prepared to support the other players. He was in the right places at the right time but did he do that in England. No he didnt! Because he was just dreaming about Brazil! Now i like Robinho and want him too do well but when you see him playing like he did tonight in Brazil. It makes you ask yourself. Why couldent he do that in England?
Because he doesnt have the passion of what swp has when playing for City!
Footballers need passion to help them along and Robinho didnt have that when at us!
It makes me sick.

I think that's a bit unfair. The difference imo is that when he makes a run in the PL, someone bigger & faster runs with him so it's difficult to pass to him & when he does get the ball they nail him straight away. In that game they just let him go where he liked & didn't bother following. It's way beneath him imo but if he likes the easy life what can you do?

Agree. Even Jo would look half-decent playing in the Conference. Maybe.

Good points raised their mate but what i am trying to get across to you is that a 32 million pund signing should be able to make crafty runs that would put off a defender and get them into trouble! Robinho should have been capable of losing his markers but he didnt try it is fair to say. IF Robinho comes back in the summer and proves to me that he is willing to play for the shirt then i will take these words back and start again with him.
I have nothing against Robinho. I think he is a good player and i like him but he didnt show passion or anything whilst at city. He just wasnt with it.

Brazilian commentary is fucking brilliant. Can you imagine Pleat getting that excited? He'd have a heart attack.
