It's as if they make a concious decision not to stop the move & not to mark him & that smells very wiffy. It's almost easier to believe than the idea that pro footballers can actually think they're making the correct decision by leaving him unmarked. Where else was the ball going to go? Dodgy.

The defender in question clearly doesn't get it either - he makes a conscious decision to not mark him and then appeal for offside when the ball was played in.
