Have any '3rd tier types' out there worked out what the league table will be, without the points accrued v Portsmouth? If not ,can one of you do so & report back please?

I hope they aren't liquidated, but only go into administration. It would be sad for the fans if the club were to be liquidated.

Stripping the teams of points scored against them hardly seems a fair reward for honest endeavour. Why not just make every match v them from now on 3-0 ?

This would obviously be unprecedented in the Premier league. What are the exact rules regarding a club going out of business and the points accrued by teams that have already played them twice etc? Has this type of thing happened to clubs in lower divisions and if so what happened in their situations?
Hopefully Pompey will go into administration at worse until the end of the season and then we'll all be ok......apart from the pompey fans of course.

Maybe they'll get an unsolicited donation from a bloke called Mansour

This is the only fair solution - the shit will hit the fan if they are allowed to go bust

that would be the fairest solution, but the alternative helps out Liverpool. I wonder what the FA/premier league will decide. Hmmmm.....

Judging by some of the thick headed half-bacons amongst their support, this could see the birth of about another 20,000 rags.

Do Pompey own the ground and land around Fratton Park ? If so administration is the only answer surely

This is bad news
If Pompey go into liquidation(as opposed to admin) all games against them will be null and void thus giving Chelsea a five point lead city dropping to sixth and Liverpool (wait for it) moving to third as their defeat to Pompey would be scratched. better pray the High Court doesn't wind them up today or the PL will be in a right mess

is it not typical fucking city to be the only team in the race for top 4 to have played them twice!

customs have informed the high court that P-FC are insolvent - its looking bleak
I don't like Portsmouth and their donkey bell ringing, drum banging fans but I wouldn't wish this on them

I thought if a club was unable to fulfil their games then the games will be awarded to the opposition team with a score line of 3-0
This is the only fair way to deal with this,
