We'll beat Sunderland away with ease, our record against them is incredible. Even our side last season that couldn't win away for love nor money hammered them 3-0. And they've fallen away badly lately (one win in sixteen is it?) so despite being an away match, it's the one I'm most confident about. I'd honestly be amazed if we don't win.

As for the rest-

A draw at Stoke
A draw against Liverpool
A defeat at Chelsea
A win against Spurs
and a win at Fulham

would do me just nicely. 11 points but most importantly no advantage for Liverpool or Spurs. I'd be really pleased if that's how it turned out.

I'd be disappointed if we only got 2 points from Scousers and Spuds - I think we will raise our game. Although anything from Chelski will be a bonus.

Yeah mate. I'm fairly confident we'll win one of those games. What I meant was that we can't afford to lose either.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Yeah, spurs and scousers are the vital ones, win both of those and 6 points from the remaining four will see us in 4th and probably a couple of points clear. Those games in hand would give us breathing space instead of making up ground.

Spuds are very poor away, we should be winning that one.

Scouse 1 will bore evrybody to death, City will then get the blame for a poor match, which will go 1-0 either way, hopefully ours.

If we win away of those away matches it will be Sunderland, they are shite.

Stoke 0-0 draw
Scouse 1 win
Chelski loss
Spuds win
Sunderland win
Fulham loss

10 points, still with a game in hand. This will not be disastrous as we will then go into games against Wigan and Birmingham home and Burnley away (all wins) + the mysterious will-it-ever-be-played Everton home - win. All that will keep us in 4th despite the inevitable panic after defeat.

Usually when someone does a thread like this and says "the next 6 matches are all winnable (is that even a real word?)" it all goes wrong. So maybe now that the general concensus seems to be that we're not gonna get that much points we'll do just fine?
Well that's what I'm hoping for.

I don't see any reason why we couldn't get 12points or more.

18, of course ;)

Seriously though, I'm most worried about Stoke and Sunderland away, and maybe Fulham too. The games against Chelsea, Pool and Spurs, strangely, don't worry me as much because I believe we will raise our game because of the opposition (for Spurs, the fact they tonked us 3-0 might play a part too, if our players have any kind of pride).

When we beat Stoke tomorrow in the Cup. Do you think at their ground they might just throw the towels in and give us three points ?

I would really love City to take the piss out of them and use those towels hanging around the adverts to wipe the ball for every throw in they take. Really take the mickey out of Stoke and their so-called long throw-in specialists. Especially when we go ahead.

I'm not to worried about sunderland and Fulham either. These are teams we can pick off , just like united and chelsea do with counter-attacking.
