Im more nervous about Stoke away tbh as that'll be tough but touch wood we give them a real tonking on saturday so it is well in there minds at the brittania, as for the Dippers we will be well up for it including our quiet arsed support so can see us winning that.

If we win both then we really are front runners for 4th as would be 6pts ahead with a game in hand ;o)

THAT IS WHY WE HAVE A SQUAD.

True, but imho we have not 22 players on the same level, so that if one is tired/onjured/suspended, the one stepping in won't make the first be missed. So we either play the same eleven, supposedly our best available, for all the games, risking them playing badly because tired, or we make turnover, but we risk dropping points either at Stoke or in the Pool game because the ones stepping in won't be on the same level of those they substitute.

The Dippers have a UEFA Cup game on the Thursday night before playing us . Will Rafa put his second string out for that game ?

Possibly, as fourth spot is vital for them, so they won't care less about the Europa League. Had it been CL, then he wouldn't have rested players.

Liverpool NEED money, they will take the Europa league serioulsy and imo, have the arrogance to think they can get back into
fourth spot.

So things are looking good for City.

IF we play as we have in the last 4 league games with limited attacking quality we will struggle to win so it could be a dour game and that's the kind of game we I would be happy if it wasn't a good game to watch but we WIN.

We certainly have nothing to fear from them.

If we can get RSC a bit fitter, I could see him coming on & breaking the deadlock in tight/dour games now that we have a player who can actually deliver a ball into the box.

Quite possibly Ted but if he is alone in there he might be a little easy to stop.

I would very much like to see RSC and Ade starting a game together, AJ or Petrov would be spoilt for choice from the left wing...well Petrov on the right I guess, urgh.

Well I "fancy" Gerrard trying to win the game with one of his trademark Starfish dives, the dirty scouse cheat.

Sorry I really lost most of the respect I had for Gerrard recently, he dives in pretty much every game now, it's pathetic.

Did Gerrard bother to check the injuries and suspensions that Liverpool have. Torres out ( even for City), Carragher struggling, the Greek fella Kyrgiakos suspended.

Looks like they'll have to play Degan at rb. Johnson will love that.....

It only needs a couple to pick up knocks in their must win game in the Europa cup and they will have many problems.

Liverpool are there for the taking

Part of me wonders why stuff like this ever gats any attention.

I mean what else is he going to say "Me and the lads are crapping ourselves, City are going to spank us big time. It would be better if we just gave them 3 points and stayed at home so saving ourselves public humiliation and reducing the chances of my house being robbed while we're at COMMMS."

It would be brilliant if he did.

I hate this "look down from Olympus" attitude that the Top 4 have on us.
Francis Schmidt, the Ohio State football coach once said of the Michigan Wolverines:

"They put their pants on one leg at a time, the same as we do!"

The Buckeyes proceeded to beat the number one team in the nation four straight decisive victories.

That kind of attitude is lacking at City:

Roberto needs to yell at our squad:

"They are no different than us -- minus success,
you have the same kinds of kit, the same level of talent,
we are going to beat your ass to number four!!!"

Go out there and play to your potential!!

Or he could say you are playing for Manchester City so you are the best just go out and prove it.

Well that goes without saying!
